Greg P (GP) started Djing back in 1998 and like every other DJ, he started off from the house, it’s there that he started playing from the infamous flat in Morriston, throwing weekly parties that anyone in the local dance music scene would have frequented or certainly heard about.
GPs first musical love was UK Garage where he religiously frequented The Palace nightclub which was the home for UK Garage in Wales. GP a short time later gained a 3year residency alongside DJ partner K-Lo who formed the ‘Corner Kru’. The Corner Kru started out with their first gig in Uropa nightclub where they were given the opportunity to play alongside 100% resident DJ Daz Hockley. In 2003 The Palace closed its doors and alongside some of Swansea’s premier DJs, GP was one of the founding members of the SBA (Swansea Bassline Alliance), The SBA took over South Wales UK Garage scene gaining residencies from Cardiff to Swansea in various nightclubs and bars. GP has over a 22 year, career played in pretty much every credible venue in Swansea and played throughout Wales, UK and in parts of Europe. After a 7-year residency in the famous Escape nightclub and Bar 7 GP took some time out to focus on his professional boxing career.

GP made the transition into house music when he joined the DJ team in Funky Pump Fitness where it combined his first loves Boxing and Music. GP quickly got to grips with the scene and consistently delivered great workout music with his quick mixing style, unique energy and charisma behind the decks. It’s from that grounding GP started to play House & Garage Music to the masses in various clubs and parties.
GP is the founding member of Wales’ number one house music events company 100% OLD SKOOL which started off in 2006 in hid local pub The Smiths Arms, word got round about 100% and every event went from strength to strength reaching capacity bringing some of the best local nights Swansea had ever seen! People came from all over Wales to attend these events on a regular basis. GP took the plunge in 2017 after ramming 700 people in an outdoor event in The Smiths he decided to take the brand into the city centre and never looked back. 100% has been responsible for bringing in the big players in the industry such as Roger Sanchez, Sam Divine, Grant Nelson, Soraya Vivian, Melvo Baptise and many more. 100% have also had great pleasure in performing in Festivals and hosting their own arena in LOGIC festival for the last few years.
2020 has been a year we all can’t wait to move on from and forget. However, 100% has grown from strength to strength. The brand has grown significantly due to the innovation, adaptation and creative strategy with the brand consistently delivering high quality content to the masses during various lockdowns. We firmly believe if you stand still you go backwards and 100% will always move forward. Keep an eye out for 2021 as we are working tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver the best nights and experiences South Wales has seen.
